Feminae Singulares • 2019
Through the prism of my own sensitivity, I became interested in some famous women (from Joan of Arc to George Sand through Hildegard of Birgen, Anna Pavlova, Mata Hari ...) to what torments them, animates them, or marvel, and try to find a match with today's women.
Thanks to the talent of my photo printer a colored gum bichromatic technique was made for the first time in the world. This 19th century process, usually monochromatic, now offers us with its subtly preserved color, a half photo and half painting work.
This work in progress, will soon be unveiled in gallery in large format.
"Anne Kuhn's photographs flirt with art and cinema; the staging is elaborated and its approach is always moving, emotional and intellectual"
